Multan Sultans are currently at the bottom of the PSL points table, with no wins in three matches. Crucially, they haven't played at home yet. On April 21, they announced a change to their squad, with Ireland's Curtis Campher coming in as a replacement for West Indies' Gudakesh Motie. According to the franchise, the change happened because Motie had to fly to Guyana to attend a domestic matter. They have made two changes: Yasir Khan and Joshua Little replaced Shai Hope and Akif Javed.
The Qalandars are much better placed, with two wins in three games so far. Shaheen Afridi has looked in good touch with the new ball, while Bangladesh's Rishad Hossain is their leading wicket-taker, having picked up six wickets in two games so far. Their two wins – against Quetta Gladiators and Karachi Kings have been comprehensive, with Fakhar Zaman and Daryl Mitchell looking in good touch. They are fielding an unchanged side.

Given their form, Qalandars are at an advantage: it could come down to a contest between LQ's in-form bowling attack versus Multan's batters, who've oscillated between scoring 234-3 and 110 all out within the span of days.
