Quetta Gladiators thrashed Peshawar Zalmi by 64 runs on Sunday (April 27). Here's what the PSL points table looks like after the result.
In Match 17 of the 2025 PSL, at Lahore, QG beat PZ by 64 runs to reach third place on the points table.
Each of QG’s top five scored between 27 and 33 as they put up 178-7 after Babar Azam won the toss and opted to field. QG would probably have got more, had Alzarri Joseph (3-33) and Saim Ayub (2-24) not struck at regular intervals.
Faheem Ashraf (5-33) then quickly took the steam out of PZ’s chase with early strikes, while Mohammad Amir took out Babar. At 50-5, the chase was virtually over, and it was only Hussain Talat’s 34-ball 39 that helped PZ reach three figures as Khurram Shahzad also chipped in with 2-9. PZ eventually collapsed to 114 in 15.2 overs.
Faheem’s figures are now the second-best for the Gladiators, after Naseem Shah’s 5-20 against the Karachi Kings in Karachi in 2022.
