With each team having played one match each, three teams have notched up their first points of the season: here's the updated PSL 2025 points table after Karachi Kings' win over Multan Sultans.
In the first double-header of the season, Quetta Gladiators and Karachi Kings brought up their first wins. The Gladiators crushed Peshawar Zalmi with an 80-run win, while the Kings managed the third-highest chase in PSL history, hunting down 235 against the Multan Sultans.
The Gladiators put on 216-3 batting first, with each of the top-five contributing, including fifties by both openers. In response, Zalmi could never get going, stumbling to 136 all out. Their innings had five ducks, equalling the record in PSL for the most in a single innings. Abrar Ahmed was the pick of the bowlers, taking a four-wicket haul.
In the second game, the Sultans put up a commanding 234-3, led by captain Mohammad Rizwan's second PSL century. However, his unbeaten, 63-ball 105 was overshadowed by a stunning 43-ball 101 by James Vince, and a 37-ball 60 by Khushdil Shah. In the end, the Kings hunted down 235 with four wickets and four balls to spare.
The Sultans, Zalmi and Lahore Qalandars are currently without points on the table. Their massive win has given the Gladiators a positive net run-rate of 4.000.
