
Peshawar Zalmi beat Multan Sultans in Saturday’s (April 19) Pakistan Super League match in Rawalpindi. Here is the updated PSL 2025 points table after the PZ vs MS match.
Having lost both their matches at the 2025 PSL, PZ and MS came into the game looking for their first points of the season. PZ got their in emphatic manner, with a 120-run thrashing of MS.
PZ posted 227-7 after Babar Azam won the toss and opted to bat. Babar’s wretched form continued – he followed scores of 0 and 1 with 2 – and PZ were left reeling at 5-2 in 2.1 overs. However, Tom Kohler-Cadmore (52 in 30 balls) and Mohammad Haris (45 in 21) added 79 in 31 balls to bring them back into the game.
Hussain Talat (37 in 29) and Mitchell Owen (34 in 15) both contributed before Abdul Samad (40 in 14) played a blitzkrieg. For MS, David Willey (2-36), Michael Bracewell (2-37), and Ubaid Shah (2-40) claimed two wickets apiece.
In response, Mohammad Rizwan (15 in 9), Shai Hope (20 in 20), and Usman Khan (44 in 22) provided MS with a flying start. At 63-1 in the seventh over, they were in the game. However, the rest of their batting caved in against Arif Yaqoob (3-20), Ali Raza (4-21), and Owen (2-2), and they were bowled out for 107.

The massive win not only helped PZ earn their first points but brought their net run rate to a not-too-bad -1.033. MS, on the other hand, are without a point, and languish at the bottom with a net run rate of -2.941.
