Multan Sultans beat Lahore Qalandars in Tuesday’s (April 22) Pakistan Super League match in Multan. Here is the updated PSL 2025 points table after the MS vs LQ match.

MS finally got their first points in PSL 2025 with a 33-run win against LQ. MS posted 228-5 after Mohammad Rizwan won the toss and opted to bat. Yasir Khan led the charge with a 44-ball 87 at the top of the order, adding 89 in 43 balls with Rizwan (32 in 17) and 70 in 38 with Usman Khan (39 in 24).

From 159-1, MS slumped to 179-4 before Iftikhar Ahmed (40 not out in 18) took them to a formidable score. For LQ, Rishad Hossain had 2-45, while Asif Afridi returned 1-26 from four overs.

LQ kept losing wickets as they tried to keep up with the asking rate, reaching 87-4 after 9.1 overs. With a 23-ball 43, Sam Billings kept them in the hunt, but once he fell, the rest caved in around Sikandar Raza, who remained unbeaten with a 27-ball 50. Ubaid Shah finished with 3-37 and Usama Mir with 2-26.

While the win helped MS get off the mark, it could not help them escape the last spot. They are, however, tied with Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators (who have a game in hand) on points. LQ, on the other hand, are two points behind second-placed Karachi Kings (though LQ have a match in hand and a superior net run rate).
