Match 15 of the 2025 PSL season provided thrills aplenty as Quetta Gladiators triumphed in a low-scoring game. They were put in to bat after Karachi skipper David Warner won the toss, and had an inauspicious start as openers Saud Shakeel and Finn Allen were both dismissed in the second over.

      Rilee Rossouw and Mark Chapman also departed swiftly, reducing them to 44-4. But Kusal Mendis (36) held the middle overs together, before Hasan Nawaz (35) and Faheem Ashraf (43) provided a finishing boost to help Quetta to 142. Hassan Ali starred for Karachi with 3-33.

      In reply, Karachi lost David Warner early, but James Vince and Tim Seifert put on 73 for the second wicket. They were 93-3 in 11.5 overs after both were dismissed, meaning they needed 50 off 49 balls with seven wickets in hand.

      But Quetta's bowlers rallied, and ripped out the middle-order, reducing Karachi to 102-6, 107-7 and finally 115-8 after 17.3 overs. No.10 Mir Hamza then gave Hassan Ali (24*) company, but the ask was too much for the tail, as they eventually fell short by five runs.

      The win has not changed either team's pre-match standing. Karachi remain in second place, while Quetta are in fifth. Crucially though, Karachi have played six matches and Quetta just four – one more and one fewer than the rest of the league respectively.

      Islamabad United remain top of the table with a perfect record thus far.
