Karachi Kings beat Quetta Gladiators in Friday’s (April 18) Pakistan Super League match in Karachi. Here is the updated PSL 2025 points table after the KAR vs QG match.
Batting first, the Kings capitalised on a fiery start from skipper David Warner (31 off 20) and Tim Seifert (27 off 15), who put on 60 for the opening stand in just 5.4 overs. James Vince then anchored the innings, initially cautious before accelerating to a 47-ball 70 (6 fours, 1 six), propelling their total to 176 in 20 overs.
Gladiators never looked comfortable while chasing as Afghanistan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi's miserly spell of 2-7 off his four overs sucked the life of the chase, setting up a PSL record. In Nabi’s support, Hassan Ali picked up 3-27, while Abbas Afridi took 2-9 off two overs, and Mir Hamza picked up one. The Gladiators were restricted to 119-9, with captain Saud Shakeel – who opened the innings – remaining unbeaten on 33 off 40 balls after batting through the entire innings. This marked the second-slowest unbeaten 30-plus score in PSL history.
