Islamabad United beat Karachi Kings in Sunday’s (April 20) Pakistan Super League match in Karachi. Here is the updated PSL 2025 points table after the IU vs KK match.
IU extended their streak of unbeaten games to four with an easy win in the away match against KK. Their bowlers restricted KK to 128-7 after Shadab Khan won the toss and opted to field. Two quick wickets forced Tim Seifert (30 in 37 balls) to abandon his usual self, and it was only because of Abbas Afridi (24 not out in nine balls) that IU had to chase at more than a run a ball.
For IU, Shadab had figures of 4-0-17-2 and Imad Wasim of 4-0-17-1, while Naseem Shah claimed 2-29 and Jason Holder 2-39.
In response, Sahibzada Farhan (30 in 18 balls) and Shadab (47 in 40) virtually decided the game as Azam Khan (31 in 30) stayed put at one end. IU completed the chase with six wickets and 17 balls in hand even as Hassan Ali claimed 2-28.
PSL 2025 points table: Updated team rankings after Karachi vs Islamabad
With eight points from four games, IU are now – at least for some time – out of reach of the other sides. Their net run rate, too, bears a healthy look. Despite the defeat, KK stayed at third place, level with Lahore Qalandars on points (though LQ have a game in hand).
