The opening ceremony for PSL 2025 will precede the first match of the tournament: here's the full list of performers, event timings and where to follow it live.
The tenth edition of the Pakistan Super League, also named PSL X, will feature six teams in a double round-robin format. The tournament is being played later than its usual slot, due to Pakistan's hosting commitments for the ICC Champions Trophy that was held in February.
What is the PSL 2025 schedule?
The tournament, which coincides with the IPL, starts on April 11, with the first match between Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars, led by Shadab Khan and Shaheen Afridi, in Rawalpindi.
The tournament will run until May 18.

Date: April 11, 2025
Time: 7pm PKT (local time). Gates open at 4pm PKT

Who is performing at the PSL X opening ceremony?
The following lineup has been confirmed:
- Abida Parveen, Sufi music artist
- Ali Zafar, Singer and actor, who will perform a cultural act
- Young Stunners, a hip-hop and rap duo will be putting on a contemporary performance
- The PSL anthem will be performed by singer-songwriter Abrar ul Haq, Ali Zafar, singer Natasha Baig as well as rapper-singer Talha Anjum
A firework show will follow the live performances.
When will the first match begin?
The first fixture will closely follow the conclusion of the opening ceremony. The match is scheduled to begin on 8.30pm PKT.
