The leading run-scorer for every season of the PSL is awarded the Green Cap and the Hanif Mohammad Award, named after Pakistan’s first great batter.
From the 2017 edition, the leading run-scorer of every season of the Pakistan Super League is awarded the Green Cap and the Hanif Mohammad Award.
The previous winners are Kamran Akmal (2017), Luke Ronchi (2018), Shane Watson (2019), Babar Azam (2020, 2021, and 2024), Fakhar Zaman (2022), and Mohammad Rizwan (2023). Fakhar’s 2022 record of 588 runs remains a season record for the league.

Sahibzada Farhan’s amazing run catapulted him to the top of the runs chart. The first batter to reach 200 runs in the season, he is still some distance clear of the others. Colin Munro, his Islamabad United teammate, is at fifth place.
On April 21, Mohammad Haris of Peshawar Zalmi made 28 to reach third place on the chart, with 173 runs. Later in the night, James Vince of Karachi Kings made 11 to extend his lead over Haris.
