Wednesday (April 23)'s PSL 2025 match was briefly held up as Islamabad United batter Colin Munro appeared to accuse Multan Sultans' Iftikhar Ahmed of throwing, mid-over.
The incident took place in the 10th over of the second innings, as Islamabad United were in pursuit of 169 for victory.
Colin Munro accuses Iftikhar Ahmed of throwing
Off the third ball of the over, off-spinner Iftikhar fired in a quicker delivery, and Munro jammed his bat down on the yorker-length ball to keep it away from his stumps. As the ball trickled back to Iftikhar, Munro imitated a throwing motion while looking at the umpire at the bowler's end, seemingly accusing the bowler of chucking.

After Munro repeated the gesture a few times, Iftikhar did not take kindly to it, and he began shouting at the square leg umpire, motioning in Munro's direction.
As Iftikhar deliberated with the official, Multan skipper Mohammad Rizwan then went up to Munro as the two pointed fingers in each other's faces. Munro then exchanged words with a few other Multan players as he made his way back to the batting crease. Iftikhar was not no-balled for throwing in the innings.
As it happened though, the very next over, Munro skied a delivery from Michael Bracewell, for Iftikhar to complete the catch at long on.
Earlier in the match, Multan had posted 168-5, courtesy of Usman Khan's 61 off 40 balls. Islamabad went on to win the match by seven wickets with almost three overs to spare. Munro's 45 was the second-highest score in the chase, as USA wicketkeeper Andries Gous played a starring role with an unbeaten 80 off 45 balls, opening the innings.
