In the latest update to the ICC Test rankings, two Pakistani bowlers, and one West Indian, achieved career-high ratings.
Only one men's Test match has taken place since the last update to the rankings – between Pakistan and the West Indies in Multan, which the hosts won inside three days, by 127 runs.
In that match,Pakistan continued their spin-to-win strategy which had brought them success against England in their last home series. All 20 West Indian wickets fell to spin, making it 60 out of 60 wickets to the slower bowlers in Pakistan's last three home Tests.
Sajid, Noman and Seales hit career highs
The architects of Pakistan's victory, Sajid Khan (9-115) and Noman Ali (6-81), have both risen in the rankings to career-highs. Noman has gone up two spots from 11th to 9th, pushing Scott Boland out of the top 10. This is the first time he has made it to the top 10 of the ICC Test rankings.

Sajid had a larger rise, moving up 18 spots from 41st to 23rd, also the peak of his Test career so far. He is now ranked above the likes of Ollie Robinson, Ajaz Patel and Mohammed Siraj, among others. West Indies' Jayden Seales, who bowled exceptionally well to take 3-42 in the first innings in Multan, has also achieved a career-best rating of 741 points, but remains in 12th rank.
On the batting front, Pakistan's Saud Shakeel has moved up three spots to 8th, following a superb knock of 84 in Multan – the highest individual score of the match.
