Bangladesh are on the verge of securing a historic series whitewash against Pakistan. But rain could play spoilsport on day five of the second and final Test of the PAK-BAN series in Rawalpindi.
Bangladesh seamers combined to bowl out Pakistan for 172 in the third innings, setting up a target of 185 for themselves. With weather around and dark clouds covering the stadium for the most of the day four afternoon, Bangladesh would have wanted to finish off as much of the target as they possibly could.
Their openers started well, getting them to 37-0 in six overs before tea. However, only one over was possible in the post-tea session before the players had to walk off for bad light. Play never resumed on the fourth evening as rain pelted down at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
On day five, Bangladesh will need another 143 runs to seal the series 2-0, while Pakistan will need ten wickets to salvage some pride and prevent a series loss. However, the rain gods might have some other plans.

According to AccuWeather, there are going to be "morning thunderstorm in spots". The match is supposed to resume at 9:45 am local time. The hourly weather forecast predicts between 47 to 51 per cent chance of rain between 10 am-12 pm local time, which would approximately be the duration of the first session of play.
AccuWeather's rain forecast drops after that to 25 per cent at 1 pm and 20 per cent from 2 pm onwards till the scheduled end of play.
Weather.com predicts thunderstorms for the duration of the first sessoin of play, with a 52-83 per cent chance of rain between 9 am-12 pm local time.

The first day of the Test was washed out entirely by rain, virtually reducing it to a four-day Test. Bangladesh are already 1-0 up in the series and they would believe that just about a session's worth of play on the final day would be enough to get them an overseas Test series whitewash against Pakistan.
