Watch: Shan Masood hit the bullseye for the second time in the innings as a sharp throw from him resulted in the run out of Prabath Jayasuriya during the second Sri Lanka-Pakistan Test match.
At 137-7, Sri Lanka were in a spot of bother in their first innings at Colombo, and their miseries only increased when Prabath Jayasuriya had to depart for one after a mix-up between him and Ramesh Mendis.
Off the last ball of the 39th over, bowled by Abrar Ahmed, the batters decided to sneak in a quick single after Mendis played the ball towards Shan Masood and point and called Jayasuriya for a run.
However, realising that Masood had gotten to the ball quicker than he expected, sent Jayasuriya back.

Jayasuriya, however, was already halfway down the track at this point and despite his best efforts, was found well short after Masood quickly picked up the ball and threw it towards the non-striker’s end.
The easy dismissal led to laughter amongst the Pakistan fielders. Sri Lanka slipped further, and were eventually all out for 166.
It was Masood’s second run out in the innings after he had also sent back Nishan Madushka to start Sri Lanka’s collapse.
