This will be the first encounter for the two sides since the T20I World Cup 2021, where Pakistan finished as the semi-finalists after having won all their encounters in Super 12s, whereas Bangladesh lost all their games in the Super 12s.

Updates: Pakistan walk in after having done in the T20 World Cup. Mohammad Hafeez has opted out of the Bangladesh T20Is to give younger players a chance. Pakistan have already announced their ’12’ for the game. Imad Wasim and Asif Ali failed to make it into the side.
