Australia and Pakistan will face off in the first T20I of three in Brisbane on Thursday. Here's Wisden's pick of the betting odds for the game.
Australia v Pakistan 1st T20I: Who will win?
These two sides met in a three-match ODI series which ended earlier this month. Pakistan won that series 2-1, making it only their second -ever bilateral ODI series win in Australia.
Despite that result, Australia still start as significant favourites on home turf in Brisbane. Batery have priced the hosts at 1.5 compared to 2.6 for Pakistan.
Australia v Pakistan 1st T20I: Which side will hit more boundaries?
In terms of maximums, Australia are heavy favourites to hit more sixes with the likes of Jake Fraser-McGurk, Tim David, Marcus Stoinis and Glenn Maxwell in the squad. They are priced by Batery at 1.53, compared to 3.15 for Pakistan.
As far as boundary fours are concerned, there is less to choose between the sides according to the Batery odds. Australia are priced at 1.95 to hit more, with Pakistan a slightly riskier shot at 2.08.
Australia v Pakistan 1st T20I: Who will have the better opening partnership?
Batery offers over/under odds of 1.87 on Australia's openers putting on a partnership of 20.5 runs. The same odds for Pakistan are for a partnership of 23.5 runs.
With Pakistan's openers likely to be Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, chances are they will play relatively risk-free cricket and make it past that mark, making the over on 23.5 runs a fairly safe bet.
