Watch: England women completed a clean-sweep of wins over their home summer with a 20-run victory over New Zealand in the final T20I of the series at Lord's yesterday (July 17).

Heather Knight's side signed off their home summer with a 14th win from 14 matches in the fifth T20I of their series against New Zealand. Despite being 87-7 at one point – thanks to best figures in the format at Lord's from Fran Jonas (4-22) – England's bowlers overpowered the White Ferns in the chase.

Knight set England up with 155-7 to defend, scoring 46 runs off 31 balls and finishing the innings unbeaten before England's pacers took over. Lauren Bell found Georgia Plimmer's edge in the powerplay and, despite reaching the halfway mark still in the game at 62-2. However, from there New Zealand collapsed, losing five wickets in the last five overs of the game to finish well short on 135-8 from their 20 overs.

That win capped off England's first unbeaten home summer since 2016, having won every match in both their ODI and T20I series' against Pakistan and New Zealand. Their next international assignment will be against Ireland shortly before heading out to the T20 World Cup in Bangladesh in October.

The squad will now break up to play in The Hundred, which starts next week.
