
In the fifth T20I of the five-match series against New Zealand, at Wellington, Hasan Nawaz registered his third duck of the series.
Nawaz continued with his bizarre run in his maiden international series, the T20Is in India. Having started his career with two consecutive ducks, he turned things around with an astonishing 105 not out off 45 balls as he and Pakistan broke a plethora of records to chase 205 in only 16 overs.
He made a solitary run in his fourth innings before perishing for another duck in the fifth. While his career average still stands at 26.50, his median and modal scores both read ... zero.
Nawaz sets new record for a Full Member player
Nawaz became the first cricketer from a Full Member team (and 12th overall) to fall for three ducks in the a men’s bilateral T20I series. None of the others on the list averages more than 13 (less than half of Nawaz) or has a fifty (Nawaz has a hundred) or has struck at a run a ball (Hasan scored at 185).
Among the others, Vanuatu’s Andrew Mansale (61 runs at 12.20 and 98, highest 38 against Malaysia in 2019) had the best series as a batter.
