What's the latest team news for New Zealand vs England 2024 Tests?

Kane Williamson will make a comeback after recovering from a groin injury, which forced him to sit out of New Zealand’s recent historic series win against India. Tom Latham will lead the hosts, while veteran pacer Tim Southee, who announced his retirement recently, has also been included. Mitchell Santner, who is nursing a side strain sustained during the India series, will miss the first Test. Bowling all-rounder Nathan Smith has been named in the squad after an impressive performance in the domestic circuit.

England have announced a 16-member squad under Ben Stokes. Promising all-rounder Jacob Bethell has earned his maiden Test call-up, having made his ODI and T20I debut against Australia earlier this year.

The tourists suffered a massive blow as wicketkeeper Jordan Cox has been ruled out of the series due to an injury in the nets. Uncapped Cox was primed to don the gloves for the entire series in the absence of regular Jamie Smith, who is on paternity leave. They are yet to name a replacement.
