Watch: Shaheen Afridi lived up to his reputation as a first-over tormentor after he dismissed debutant, Tim Robinson, with a ball that swung in to peg back his stump in the first T20I between Pakistan and New Zealand in Rawalpindi.

On just the second delivery of the match following a prolonged rain delay, Shaheen struck with the wicket of Robinson. The ball was pitched on a length around middle. Robinson tried to play a big heave over long on without any footwork. The ball darted in ever so slightly, breaching the gap between the batter’s pad and leg to peg back the middle stump.

That was Shaheen’s 14th first-over scalp in 58 T20Is, the joint-third most among ICC’s Full Members with Angelo Mathews (14). Only Tim Southee (16) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (20) are ahead of them.

Robinson’s wicket was the second and last delivery possible in the match, which was called off when the rain returned.
