Babar Azam, who has been reinstated as Pakistan’s white-ball skipper, will captain the hosts in the series. The series will also mark the return of Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim, both of whom have unretired from international cricket to make themselves available for the T20I World Cup in June.
For New Zealand, Michael Bracewell will captain the side in the absence of their several regular players due to their commitment to the IPL. Bracewell has not played international cricket since March 2023 due to several injury concerns.
