Watch: New Zealand’s Michael Bracewell displayed excellent awareness to catch out Salman Agha, parrying the ball in the air before clinging onto the rebound.

The dismissal was a key one, giving the Black Caps the opportunity to bowl out the tail, with Pakistan slipping from 385-5 to 397-9 on the third evening.

Salman had played a key role for Pakistan, making 41 and dominating his stand with centurion Saud Shakeel after the dismissal of Sarfaraz Ahmed. He attempted to sweep Ajaz Patel, but only succeeded in feathering an edge onto his body, with the ball rebounding behind him.

Bracewell showed excellent reflexes to dive and get a hand to the ball, but couldn’t cling on. However, he managed to parry the ball in the air, and was alert enough to hold onto the chance as the ball dropped.
