The Netherlands will travel to New Zealand for a short four-match white-ball series, beginning on March 25. Here’s the full schedule and match time list of NZ v NED 2022.
New Zealand, the No.1 ranked ODI side, will host the Netherlands for a one-off T20I, which will be followed by three ODIs from March 25. The ODI series will be a part of the 2020-2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. The series was originally scheduled to be held at the start of the year, but the tour was postponed due to the quarantine requirements.
Prior to the start of the series, the Netherlands were also scheduled to play two 50-over warm-up matches, with one T20 warm-up, all in Napier, against a New Zealand XI. While they lost the first two encounters by 42 runs and four wickets, respectively, the third and final warm-up game was washed out due to persistent rain.
The Netherlands will be led by Pieter Seelaar, while the hosts will be without their regulars, who will be participating in the Indian Premier League. Tom Latham will lead both the T20I and ODI sides, with the squad also including players such as Colin de Grandhomee, Martin Guptill, Kyle Jamieson (only ODIs), Ish Sodhi and Matt Henry.
The T20I will be held at the McLean Park in Napier, with the first ODI being played at Bay Oval. The action will then shift to Seddon Park at Hamilton.
