Rain is playing spoilsport in the One-Day Cup 2024 final between Glamorgan and Somerset at Trent Bridge in Nottingham as the start of play has been delayed. Here are the latest weather updates from the match.

The final of the current edition of the One Day Cup got off to a soggy start. As a result, the toss which was scheduled at 10:30 am local time was delayed. It’s currently drizzling at the venue, and the weather doesn’t look promising for the rest of the day.

What is the weather forecast for the Glamorgan vs Somerset 2024 One-Day Cup final?

The match was supposed to start at 11 am local time. AccuWeather’s hourly weather forecast predicts between 49 to 80 per cent chance of rain between the match hours.

BBC Weather predicts “thundery showers and a gentle breeze”. The chances of precipitation are as high as 89 per cent during the match, with temperature hovering between 14 and 18 degree Celcius.

Weather.com paints a gloomier picture with a "severe rain" warning and possible "localised flooding".

What will happen in case of a washout?

The scheduled close of play is 6:30 pm with an added 30 minutes as extra time. Each side must face 20 overs to force a result. If no play is possible today, the match will go into the reserve day on Monday (September 23).

If there’s no result after the reserve day, the trophy will be shared between the two sides.
