Watch: Andrew Tye bowled a short-ball gone wrong in the Marsh Cup match between Western Australia and Tasmania.

With Tasmania 86-2 chasing Western Australia’s total of 221, Tye was bowling to Jordan Silk when the ball appeared to get stuck in his hand and land directly by his feet.

Silk was on strike and seemed confused, as we all were, as to what to do next. Was it a legal delivery that he could hit for four or was the ball dead? Ultimately, Silk opted to leave the ball through to the Western Australia wicketkeeper Josh Phillipe before the umpire signalled a no-ball.

Tasmania would end up winning the game by four wickets with Jordan Silk finishing on 90 not out off 99 balls. Despite this delivery, Tye was also the star of the show for Western Australia albeit in a losing cause. Tye took 4-39 off his ten overs as he dismissed Ben McDermott, Jake Doran, Beau Webster and Mitchell Owen.
