Watch: India batter Sai Sudharsan slammed his maiden County Championship century with an impressive six during day two (August 30) of Surrey’s fixture against Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge.

Sudharsan linked up with Surrey for two County Championship games ahead of the 2024 Duleep Trophy, having played for the club during their last championship match against Essex at The Oval in June, as well as represented them twice in September last year.

After falling for just six against Lancashire, the stylish left-hand batter ensured his short-stint ended on a high, slamming a century against Nottinghamshire. He brought up his landmark in style, launching Farhan Ahmed over deep mid-wicket by stepping out of his crease. His knock was also studded with 10 fours. However, Sudharshan fell just two balls later for a 178-ball 105. Riding on his ton and Rory Burns' 161, Surrey racked up 525 in their first innings.

Sudharshan will play for India C, led by Ruturaj Gaikwad, in the 2024 Duleep Trophy, set to flag off India's domestic season on September 5.
