Glamorgan were 254-5 at the time of the dismissal, playing against Leicestershire. Sam Northeast was at the other end as the two batters started to rebuild after they were pegged back having been 190-2.

Facing up to Mike, Ul Hasan was dealt a searing yorker from round the wicket, which hit him on the front pad and looked a decent shout to be going on to clip leg stump. As the fielders appealed for an lbw dismissal the ball rolled up Ul Hasan’s pad and ricocheted straight up into the air.

Ul Hasan regained his balance and looked around for where the ball had landed in case he needed to kick it away from the stumps. However, the ball had already come back down to earth behind him and bounced back onto the stumps, just dislodging the leg stump bail.

The fielders celebrated and Ul Hasan had to depart for one. To make matters even worse, the umpire had already shaken his head to turn down the lbw decision, compounding just how unlucky the dismissal was.
