Harry Moore celebrates after dismissing Prithvi Shaw on his first-class debut for Derbyshire

Moore, who has played 10 List A games, made his first-class debut against Nottinghamshire on Monday (September 9), at Northampton. The 6ft 5in quick was entrusted with the new ball and bowled a tidy spell first up, conceding nine runs with three maidens in his first five overs. He returned to dismiss Lewis McManus, which helped Moore enter record books, as he became the second-youngest player from the county to pick up a wicket in the championship.

Moore ended the innings with figures of 1-16 in ten overs as the opposition were bowled out for 219.

In the second innings, he struck with just his third ball, sending back the Northants opener Shaw for two. The ball angled back in and Shaw could not get any contact as it hit him on the front leg, which was eventually ruled out by the umpire.
