Labuschange made 23 and 111 in his first game of the 2024 county season last week against Middlesex but was unable to get going in Leicester today (May 24), falling for eight to Currie.
Glamorgan, who were sent in to bat first, made 90 for the opening stand with Eddie Byrom and Billy Root laying the foundation before the latter departed. This brought in Labuschange, who took his time for a 22-ball eight.
His dismissal, on the 33rd over of the innings, came in unfortunate circumstances: Currie bowled a good length ball, which the batter looked to leave. However, the ball came back in to take off his off-stump, leaving Labuschange, who turned around to stare at the broken timber before walking away, disappointed.
The Australia batter has played for Glamorgan for over four seasons in the past, making eight hundreds in 26 games at an average of 55.52. He has committed to playing with the county till the end of the 2024 season.
