The 2024 County Championship, the 124th season of the first-class competition, began on April 5, 2024 – here’s where to follow the England county cricket season live on TV, streaming and radio.
County Championship 2024: Format
The tournament will be played across 15 rounds, with each team playing 14 four-day matches in all. Matches will be played every month of the season, including August, unlike last year.
The tournament begins with eight rounds of matches, to be played from Friday to Sunday, across April and May. The tournament will conclude on September 29.
The five points for a draw experiment was short-lived, reverting back to eight, though batting and bowling bonus points stay the same as last year.
Surrey are the current champions.
