Shubham Gill flicked an effortless six off Bradley Currie against Sussex in the 2022 County Championship season, where he is playing for Glamorgan.
Walking out to bat at No.3, Gill got off to a steady start, making 30 off the first 48 balls he faced, with four boundaries. His first six came in the 25th over of the innings, when Currie sent down a full-toss on middle and leg stumps. Gill whipped the ball effortlessly over square-leg for six.
Gill scored 92 on his County Championship debut earlier this month, against Worcestershire in Cardiff. He made only 22 and 11 in his next match, against Middlesex at Lord’s, but has started off well in Hove. He hit a four to bring up his fifty in 61 balls, and is currently on 64, as Glamorgan have reached 168-3.
