Watch: Marnus Labuschagne’s first stint with the bat for Glamorgan in the 2022 County Championship lasted just three balls as he was out lbw for 3 against Nottinghamshire.
Labuschagne, who’d earlier picked up two wickets while bowling medium pace in the game, was unable to last long with the bat in his first innings of the English summer, dismissed for 3 by Brett Hutton. The ball nipped back in to strike the Australia batter – who shouldered arms to the delivery – on his knee roll.
The No.1-ranked Test batter first played for Glamorgan in 2019 and last year hit 228 County Championship runs at an average of 32.57, with a high score of 77.
After Nottinghamshire scored 302 in their first innings, Glamorgan were all out for 379 in reply, with Sam Northeast and Timm van der Gugten both crossing fifty.
