Gloucestershire wicketkeeper James Bracey took an incredible catch between his shins in the County Championship.

Bracey, who has two Test caps for England, saw an outside edge off the bat of Middlesex’s Nick Gubbins rebound off of his left knee and then strike the inside of his right calf.

Through a combination of luck and instinct, Bracey snapped his legs together in an attempt to catch the ball between his shins.

Miraculously, the ball settled between his legs with Bracey celebrating, possibly prematurely, as he attempted to pluck the now stationary ball from between his legs to complete the catch.

Bracey had a fantastic start to the season for Gloucestershire, scoring two centuries in the opening rounds of the campaign before his year has tapered slightly with a lean run of scores. This season he has scored 466 runs at an average of 29.12.
