Watch: Hassan Ali was at his rapid best for Lancashire, pinning Warwickshire’s Sam Hain lbw with a toe-crushing yorker during their County Championship clash in Manchester.
Hassan has been among the wickets for Lancashire ever since his Championship debut last month and has picked up at least one scalp in every innings so far. Against Warwickshire, Hassan cleaned up the tail in the first innings, ending with figures of 3-82, before returning to trap Hain with a cracking delivery in the second innings.
Off the first ball of the 47th over, Hassan unleashed an in-swinging yorker that moved in sharply, leaving Hain completely tangled up. As he hobbled to the side of the pitch, Hassan went up in appeal, with the umpire immediately raising his finger.
So far, Hassan has snared 24 wickets in four games at 18.50, the most in Division One so far.
