County Championship 2022: Squads
The 122nd edition of the County Championship features 18 teams, with 10 teams in Division One, and eight sides in Division Two.
Essex, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Kent, Lancashire, Northamptonshire, Somerset, Surrey, Warwickshire, and Yorkshire make up the teams in Division One. Derbyshire, Durham, Glamorgan, Leicestershire, Middlesex, Nottinghamshire, Sussex, and Worcestershire are the sides in Division Two.

This season of county cricket will also feature several overseas stars, including notable international players such as Cheteshwar Pujara, Kyle Abbott, Nathan Ellis, and Matt Henry.
As many as ten Pakistan will be a part of this county season. These include middle-order batter Azhar Ali, fast bowlers Naseem Shah and Shaheen Shah Afridi, opener Shan Masood among others.

County Championship 2022: Schedule
The County Championship starts with seven rounds of matches to be played in April-May. The championship is to run all the way to the end of September.
Warwickshire were the champions of the last season of County Championship, in what was their eighth title.
