RCB opener Phil Salt got off to a quick start, scoring 15 runs off the second over of the innings, bowled by R Ashwin. Salt then took on left-arm quick Khaleel Ahmed, and made his way to 32 off 15 balls, taking his team to 45-0 in 4.5 overs.

Off the final ball of the fifth over, Salt was beaten on the outside edge by left-arm leg spinner Noor Ahmad, losing his balance momentarily. His foot dragged out of the crease ever so slightly, but that was enough for the 43-year-old MS Dhoni to whip off the bails and find him short of his ground.

Dhoni's reflexes appear intact even at this age, and despite retiring from international cricket nearly five years ago. This was not the first time Dhoni had pulled this off this season, as he stumped Suryakumar Yadav off the same bowler in CSK's opening match of the campaign in identical fashion.
