Corbin Bosch

The Pakistan Cricket Board has served a legal notice to South African all-rounder Corbin Bosch.

According to a PCB release, the board has served a legal notice to Bosch, now 30, “alleging breach of the all-rounder’s contractual obligations to the PCB.

At the PSL 2025 draft held on January 13, Bosch was picked by Peshawar Zalmi in the Diamond category (the second-most expensive, after Platinum). However, on March 8, the Mumbai Indians replaced the injured Lizaad Williams with Bosch. Since IPL 2025 (March 22 to May 25) will overlap PSL 2025 (April 11 to May 10) on either side, Bosch had to forego his PSL contract.

The PCB subsequently served Bosch a legal notice through his agent, asking him “to justify his actions of withdrawing from his professional and contractual commitments”. They also “outlined the repercussions of his departure from the league”.

“The PCB will not make any further comments on the matter,” concluded the release.

From 86 T20 matches, Bosch has 59 wickets while going at 8.38 an over. With the bat, he has hit 663 runs at a strike rate of 113. For the Barbados Royals and the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots at the CPL, his only major overseas franchise league, he has 321 runs at 116, nine wickets, and an economy rate of 10.21.

Part of the South African squad that won the Under-19 World Cup in 2014, Bosch is yet to play T20Is. However, his only international matches – one Test, two ODIs – have been all against Pakistan between December 2024 and February 2025.

He had an impressive Test debut (five wickets including one with the first ball of his career to go with 81 not out), and the two ODIs have fetched him 55 unbeaten runs and two wickets.
