Lucknow had the worst net run rate among the four teams that finished on 14 points last season and ended IPL 2024 seventh on the points table. This year, with a change of guard at the top, they'll look to replicate and potentially improve upon their performances in IPL 2022 and 2023 when they qualified for the playoffs.
LSG Squad 2025: Who’s out?
LSG's retention list includes Nicholas Pooran (Rs. 21 crore), Ravi Bishnoi (Rs. 11 crore), Mayank Yadav (Rs. 11 crore), Mohsin Khan (Rs. 4 crore), Ayush Badoni (Rs. 4 crore). They let go of KL Rahul who captained them for their first three seasons, but got back several other players in the auction who they had to release.

LSG Squad 2025: Who’s in?
LSG have replaced Rahul with Rishabh Pant as the A-list India star, shelling out a record 27 crores for the wicketkeeper. They've invested heavily on overseas batting prowess, signing David Miller, Mitchell Marsh, and Aiden Markram in the auction. Interestingly, LSG are the only team to have just six overseas players in their squad, the other two being Matthew Breetzke and Shamar Joseph.
