Mumbai Indians won their fourth match in a row, beating Sunrisers Hyderabad in Hyderabad on Wednesday (April 23). Here's what the IPL points table looks like after the SRH vs MI match.
In match 41 of the 2025 IPL season, MI skipper won the toss and put SRH in to bat, with a sombre tone to preceedings owing to the paying of respects to the victims of yesterday's attack in Kashmir's Pahalgam.

Trent Boult struck in the second over to remove Travis Head, before Deepak Chahar removed Ishan Kishan in the third, in utterly bizarre circumstances. SRH were left at 9-2 then, and went on to crumble, as they were reduced to 35-5 midway through the ninth over. Heinrich Klaasen (71) and Abhinav Manohar (43) then put on 99 for the sixth wicket, taking them to some semblance of a score at 143-8.
It was unlikely to be a stiff challenge for MI, but they lost Ryan Rickelton early on. However, Rohit Sharma and Will Jacks put on 64 to take the game out of SRH's reach, before Rohit and Suryakumar Yadav then put on 53 in 5.2 overs to break it wide open. MI eventually got over the line with 26 balls to spare, SKY not out on 40 off 19 balls.

The convincing win has lifted MI from sixth to third in the points table, their net run rate of +0.673 now the second-best in the competition and giving them an edge over the other teams on 10 points.
SRH remain in ninth place, but are now dangerously close to slipping below basement-dwellers CSK.
