Punjab Kings thrashed Lucknow Super Giants by eight wickets in match 13 of IPL 2025 on Tuesday (April 1) - here is the updated points table after today's IPL match.
Choosing to bowl first, PBKS dominated early, reducing LSG to 119-5 in 15.5 overs. Nicholas Pooran (44 off 30) appeared fluent but fell short of a major score, while Ayush Badoni contributed 41 off 33. Abdul Samad’s late cameo (27 off 12), featuring inventive strokes, propelled LSG to 171-7 at the Ekana Stadium.
Arshdeep Singh claimed three wickets but proved expensive, conceding 20 runs in the 18th over against Samad. "That's pretty average," he admitted when asked about his bowling during the mid-innings interview.
Prabhsimran Singh (69 off 34) spearheaded PBKS' chase, supported by Shreyas Iyer’s unbeaten (52 not out off 30). Earlier, Digvesh Rathi’s animated send-off of opener Priyansh Arya (8) provided a fiery subplot, but PBKS maintained their momentum to win by eight wickets with 22 balls remaining.
