Punjab Kings beat Chennai Super Kings in the 2025 Indian Premier League - here is the updated IPL points table after today's match.
Batting first, PBKS were led single-handedly by the young Priyansh Arya, who scored his maiden IPL hundred in just his fourth game, off just 39 balls. What made it more special was that none of the other batters in the top six reached double digits. PBKS were reduced to 83-5 in the eighth over, when Shashank Singh (52 off 36) provided much needed support to Arya. Marco Jansen (34 off 19) chipped in as well, as PBKS finished on 219-6.
CSK had familiar troubles as their top order wasn't able to get going. Rachin Ravindra showed promise for his 36 off 23, but it wasn't enough. Devon Conway scored a half-century (69 off 49) but had to be retired out as the asking rate climbed. Shivam Dube (42 off 27) and MS Dhoni (27 off 12) played brisk knocks but CSK fell short by 18 runs.

Earlier in the day, LSG defeated KKR by four runs in a tight encounter at the Eden Gardens. LSG made 238-3 batting first, before KKR almost chased it down.

The two results didn't bring about a lot of movement in the points table. PBKS remain at fourth, while CSK remain at ninth. In between, LSG and KKR have swapped placed and are now fifth and sixth respectively.
