Delhi Capitals pulled off a heist against Lucknow Super Giants, winning by one wicket - here's the updated IPL 2025 points table after today's match.
IPL 2025: DC snatch victory from jaws of defeat
Delhi chose to field first after winning the toss and got off to a poor start as the overseas top three of Lucknow cut loose. Aiden Markram (15 off 13), Mitchell Marsh (72 off 36), and Nicholas Pooran (75 off 30) took LSG to 133-1 in 11.3 overs but LSG collapsed after that with captain Rishabh Pant sucking the momentum out of the innings with his six-ball duck.
They finished on 209-8 as Kuldeep Yadav recorded figures of 2-20 from his four overs. Delhi then got off to another poor start, this time with the bat. They lost two in the first over and were reduced to 65-5 by the seventh over. Ashutosh Sharma and Tristan Stubbs added 48 for the sixth wicket before Sharma was joined by debutant Vipraj Nigam. The duo stitched a match-winning 55-run partnership off just 22 balls as Sharma finished off the chase in the last over with one wicket left.
