Visiting captain Sanju Samson won the toss and elected to field first. After DC openers Jake Fraser-McGurk and Abishek Porel plundered 33 from the first two overs, the RR bowlers pulled things back admirably to limit them to 46-2 in the powerplay.

Porel ended up with 49 and KL Rahul scored 38 in the middle overs, before Tristan Stubbs and Axar Patel scored 34 each, off 18 and 14 balls respectively to lift them to 188-5.
In the run-chase, Sanju Samson and Yashasvi Jaiswal put on 61 for the first wicket, before Samson injured his side after playing a pull shot off Vipraj Nigam in the sixth over, and had to retire hurt. Riyan Parag was dismissed by Axar Patel less than three overs later and Jaiswal went in the 14th. Nitish Rana (51) and Dhruv Jurel (26) then put on 49 to take RR within touching distance.

Jurel and Shimron Hetmyer couldn't get RR over the line though, and the match went into a Super Over. Hetmyer and Parag came out to open, scoring 11 before new batter Yashasvi Jaiswal was run out for a diamond duck, going for a second run.
With 13 to win, KL Rahul managed two and four off the last first two balls before taking a single. Tristan Stubbs then sent a short ball from Sandeep Sharma flying over the midwicket fence to secure victory.

The victory has lifted Delhi Capitals back to the top of the table. Rajasthan, meanwhile, remain eighth in the table.
