Delhi Capitals won their fourth straight match of IPL 2025, defeating Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. Here's what the points table looks like after that result.
Asked to bat first at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, RCB got off to the perfect start as Phil Salt and Virat Kohli blitzed their way to 53 in three overs, before a misunderstanding saw Salt run out. RCB then had a middl-order collapse, going from 61-0 to 102-5 and 117-6. They were 125-7 when Krunal Pandya perished, but Tim David (37* off 20) took them to a fighting 163-7.
In reply, DC were in trouble early as they lost their top three of Faf du Plessis, Jake Fraser-McGurk and Abishek Porel inside the Powerplay with just 30 on the board. Axar Patel's wicket saw them slide to 58-4, but thereafter it was Bengaluru boy KL Rahul who led the charge, remaining unbeaten on 93 to take DC home in 17.5 overs. He was ably supported by Tristan Stubbs, who contributed 38 to an unbroken fifth-wicket stand of 111.
Unsurprisingly, Rahul was named Player of the Match for his effort.
