Several sides have undergone changes in leadership for this season. The most notable change is Kolkata Knight Riders appointing Ajinkya Rahane as their captain after releasing their title-winning skipper, Shreyas Iyer, who has taken up the same role at Punjab Kings.

Most matches will start at 7:30 pm IST. During double-headers, the first one will begin at 3:30 pm IST followed by the second at 7:30 pm IST.
In the USA, matches will start at the following times across various time zones.
Eastern Standard Time (EST): 10:00 am for normal match days and 6:00, 10:00 am for double-headers.
Central Standard Time (CST): 9:00 am for normal match days and 5:00, 9:00 am for double-headers.
Mountain Standard Time (MST): 8:00 am for normal match days and 4:00, 8:00 AM for double-headers.
Pacific Standard Time (PST): 7:00 am for normal match days and 3:00, 7:00 AM for double-headers.
