The final shortlist of players for the IPL 2025 auction was released on Friday (November 15). Here's the full list of players listed under the INR 2 Cr base price bracket.
When registering for the auction, players can set their base price (i.e., the minimum amount a team needs to bid in order to secure their services). The maximum allowed here is INR 2 crores, roughly equivalent to $237,000.
As this is the maximum base price, the trend is for only the premium, or top-tier Indian and international players to set this base price in the auction. Most uncapped players and those a tier or two below opt for much lower base prices, to increase their chances of securing a contract.

For the IPL 2025 auction, 81 of the 574 players have set their base price at this amount. Out of the 12 players split between the two "marquee" sets, 11 have set their base price at INR 2 Cr. The one who has not is South African batter David Miller, opting for INR 1.5 Cr instead.
23 Indian players have set their base price at INR 2 Cr, including last year's IPL-winning skipper, Shreyas Iyer. Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj and R Ashwin are a few of the others.
The international players to opt for this base price include stars like Jos Buttler, Kagiso Rabada, Liam Livingstone and Glenn Maxwell as well as some rising stars in the form of Jake Fraser-McGurk, Fazalhaq Farooqi, Finn Allen and Rahmanullah Gurbaz.
