The IPL 2025 auction is being held on November 24 and 25, 2024. Find the full updated list of players unsold on the second day of the auction here.

The first day of the 2025 IPL auction was highlighted by the Lucknow Super Giants’s acquisition of Rishabh Pant for INR 28 crore, the highest in the history of the tournament. Pant went past Shreyas Iyer’s INR 27.75 crore, set only 20 minutes ago when the Punjab Kings got him. The Kolkata Knight Riders then won a fierce bidding race to get Venkatesh Iyer for INR 23.75 crore.

At the same time, several cricketers did not attract buyers. These included David Warner (multiple times Orange Cap winner and an IPL-winning captain), along with Jonny Bairstow (ODI World Cup winner), Piyush Chawla (the second-highest wicket-taker among Indians in IPL history), and Indian Test cricketer Devdutt Padikkal.

A similar trend followed on the second day as well. Former Orange Cap winner and IPL finalist captain Kane Williamson went unsold, as did Glenn Phillips, Prithvi Shaw, Mayank Agarwal, and Shardul Thakur. However, all of them still have a chance of having a contract.
