The latest IPL mega auction is taking place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on November 24 and 25 at the Abady Al-Johar Arena. The 10 sides will look to fill the 204 slots between them from the 577 players shortlisted. Among the 204 vacancies, 70 are available for overseas players. Each team can include a maximum of 25 and a minimum of 18 players.

IPL 2025: Who are the players in the INR 2 Crore bracket?
After 46 players were retained across the sides until the October 31 deadline, Punjab Kings have the highest purse of INR 110.5 crore, while Rajasthan Royals have the least amount of money (INR 41 crore). Adam Zampa attracted two bids from SRH and one from RR, eventually joining the Sunrisers camp at 2.4 Crores.
Rahul Chahar: Sold to SRH for 3.2 Crores
MI and SRH had a go at Rahul Chahar and MI withdrew at 2 Crores before LSG entered the bidding war with SRH but the Sunrisers eventually fought them out as well bagging Chahar for 3.2 Crores.

RR, once again in the mix, had to battle MI for their next target as well. Maheesh Theekshana attracted bids from the two franchises and RR finally outbid them at 4.4 Crores.

Trent Boult: Sold to Mumbai Indians for 12.5 Crores
Another former RR fast bowler went under the hammer as the Royals went hammer and tongs with LSG yet again before MI decided to renew their partnership with Boult.
The bidding war ensued for a while before the Mumbai Indians finally managed to bag their former fast bowler at a price of 12.5 Crores.
T Natarajan: Sold to DC for 10.75 Crores
SRH and RCB battled hard for the Tamil Nadu fast bowler before Kavya Maran pulled the plug after submitting a last bid of 4 Crores.
RCB and DC then challenged each other for a couple of minutes before the Capitals managed to bag their target for 10.75 Crores.
Khaleel Ahmed: Sold to CSK for 4.8 Crores
CSK and their love for left-arm fast bowlers continued as they initiated a bidding war with LSG who have too many fast bowlers in their squad for a slow Lucknow pitch.
The Super Kings thus put more value on Khaleel's services and bagged him for a price of 4.8 Crores. DC decided not to exercise the RTM option.
Jofra Archer: Sold to RR for 12.5 Crores
Another fast bowler and another bid from LSG as MI decided to battle them till 8 Crores before MI decided to let go of their former bowling superstar.
RR entered the fray at 8.5 Crores but MI surprised them with a bid of 8.75 Crores to spark another mini bidding war before RR eventually bagged their new star bowler for a price of 12.5 Crores.
Anrich Nortje: Sold to KKR for 6.5 Crores
LSG want another fast bowler, and they are battling hard with KKR for Anrich Nortje's services as the price has escalated to 6.5 Crores before Goenka dismisses the possibility of another bid.
KKR bag their target for 6.5 Crores as DC decided not to exercise their RTM option.
Avesh Khan: Sold to LSG for 9.75 Crores
LSG and PBKS have escalated Avesh's price to 6 Crores before any other side can even enter the bidding for the fast bowler before RR enters the fray at 6.5 Crores.
The Royals, after missing out on Krishna, would be desperate to land their former bowler this time around. RR battled hard with LSG but lost out in the end as the Super Giants bagged Avesh Khan for 9.75 Crores.

Prasidh Krishna has ignited a fast bidding war between GT and RR, who seem to be at a consensus for a higher base price for Krishna.
RR, in pursuit of their former fast bowler, kept battling with the Titans till 9.25 Crores before Ashish Nehra welcomed Krishna in his camp at a premium price of 9.5 Crores.
Josh Hazlewood: Sold to RCB for 12.5 Crores
Josh Hazlewood's performance in the ongoing Perth test seemed to have upped his demand, with KKR and LSG bidding hard for the Australian fast bowler.
RCB entered the fray at 8 Crores and had another mini bidding war with LSG upping Hazlewood's price to 10 Crores.
MI then decided to have a go at RCB till 12.5 Crores as the Royal Challengers bagged their most expensive player of the IPL 2025 Auction so far.

RCB, looking for a replacement for the now-retired Dinesh Karthik, entered the bidding war, and so did CSK, despite having MS Dhoni behind the stumps.
The Royal Challengers seemed to have bagged Jitesh's services for 7 Crore but PBKS exercised the RTM option forcing RCB to up the bid to a massive amount of 11 Crores as the Royal Challengers eventually bagged the player.
Jitesh Sharma: Base Price of 1 Crore
Jitesh Sharma has set a base price of 1 Crore and is attracting bids from CSK and LSG who have already crossed the 3 Crore mark.
DC is now rivalling LSG for the wicket-keeper batter after missing out on Kishan's services.
Ishan Kishan: Sold to Sunrisers Hyderabad for 11.25 Crores
Ishan Kishan attracted bids from MI and PBKS before the Ambanis were happy to let him go for 3.4 Crores. DC then entered the fray for the wicket-keeper batter and escalated the price to 9.75 Crores before the Kings seemed to have eventually signed him for an amount of 10 Crores.
But, SRH entered the fray at 10.25 Crores despite having two left-handed opening batters in the squad and bagged Kishan's services at a price of 11.25 Crores after a small bidding war with PBKS.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz: Sold to KKR for 2 Crores
Rahmanullah Gurbaz attracted a bid at his base price from KKR, who are looking to re-unite their winning combination as they bagged another of their former players, this time at his base price and not 23.75 Crores.
Phil Salt: Sold to RCB for 11.5 Crores
Bairstow's countryman Phil Salt straightaway attracted bids from MI and RCB as the two franchises battled till 4.2 Crores before KKR entered the fray for their former player. The Knight Riders decided to challenge RCB's bids till the 10 Crore mark.
The bidding extended for a few more seconds as KKR pondered over the value of their star player from the last season with Rahmanullah Gurbaz still available and about to come next.
KKR eventually dragged RCB for a few more seconds before the Royal Challengers bagged their target for a premium amount of 11.50 Crores.

Jonny Bairstow became the first player from the set to go unsold as no franchises were seeking his services for the next cycle.
Quinton de Kock: Sold to KKR for 3.6 Crores.
The auctioneer is back and has the name of Quinton de Kock in her hand. SRH starts the bidding process at his base price of INR 2 Crores.
MI enters the fray to battle SRH as they are still looking for their first signing of the day and drag the Hyderabad camp till 3 Crores before Vettori pulls the plug on the deal.
KKR is looking for an opening partner for Sunil Narine and they have decided to submit their first bid to rival MI till 3.6 Crores, bagging the wicket-keeper batter.
LSG decided not to use their RTM option yet again as de Kock headed to KKR for 3.6 Crores.
Set 5: Capped Wicket-keepers
Capped wicket-keeper batters go under the hammer next, and this is the category that was backed to bag the highest bucks at the auction by most of the pundits.

We have now gone through four sets of players, with Venkatesh Iyer the highlight of the fourth set as he iginited a bidding war between RCB and KKR before the Knight Riders welcomed him back home for a price of 23.75 Crores.
Glenn Maxwell: Sold to Punjab Kings for 4.2 Crores
To attain the services of the Australian powerhouse, the duo of CSK and PBKS fought till 4 Crores before PBKS eventually bagged him for 4.2 Crores.
With RCB surprisingly not deciding to use the RTM option, Maxwell will be another Australian addition to the Kings' camp.
Glenn Maxwell finally gets a bid
After a long pondering session by PBKS, they decided to one-up SRH's bid of 2 Crores, and Vettori's camp called it shut at 2.6 Crores allowing CSK to enter the fray rather earlier than they would have assumed.

SRH and LSG battled for the Australian T20I captain till 3.4 Crores before the Lucknow-based franchise bagged him for the price.
Delhi Capitals then decided to pass on the RTM option as Marsh heads to LSG for 3.4 Crores.
Marcus Stoinis: Sold to Punjab Kings for 11 Crores
RCB went straight in for Marcus Stoinis and were battled hard by CSK up to 8.25 Crores before PBKS expressed an interest in the Australian all-rounder and bagged him for 11 Crores.
LSG then decided not to exercise their RTM option uniting the duo of Ponting and Stoinis in the Punjab camp.
Venkatesh Iyer Heads Back to Kolkata Knight Riders for a whopping prize of 23.75 Crores
KKR went for another one of their former players, but the Knight Riders were battled hard by LSG up to 7.5 Crores before RCB expressed interest in the Madhya Pradesh all-rounder and escalated the price to 23.5 Crores before Venky Mysore's camp bagged him for 23.75 Crores making Venkatesh the third-highest paid player for the upcoming season.
Ravichandran Ashwin: Sold to Chennai Super Kings for 9.75 Crores
CSK and LSG battled for the experienced spinner till 3.6 Crores before RCB entered the fray and the Bengaluru-based franchise also crashed out at 4.4 Crores.
Then, another of Ashwin's former sides, RR bid for the player and took the price up to 9.5 Crores before CSK eventually bagged their local boy at a price of 9.75 Crores.
Rachin Ravindra: Sold to Chennai Super Kings for 4 Crores
Rachin Ravindra's base price of 1.5 Crores proved to be useful as CSK and PBKS put in several bids before Punjab bagged the player for 3.2 Crores.
CSK then used their RTM option in a smart move, forcing PBKS to up the price till 4 Crores, and the Super Kings agreed to the price, bagging another of their former players.
Harshal Patel: Sold to SRH for 8 Crores
SRH and GT began the bidding process and battled till 6 Crores before Daniel Vettori persisted with him and bagged the former RCB and PBKS bowler at a price of 6.75 Crores.
The Kings didn't exercise their RTM option initially, but after a detailed discussion in the Punjab camp, they eventually decided to use the option.
SRH then upped their bid to 8 Crores which PBKS refused as Patel went to the Hyderabad camp.
Set 4: All-Rounders
All-Rounders are next with reigning purple cap holder Harshal Patel entering the fray as the first name of the set.
Jake Fraser-McGurk: Sold to Delhi Capitals for 9 Crores (RTM)
Jake Fraser-McGurk attracted bids from DC and PBKS but the Capitals didn't even go for a second bid, with LSG forced to enter at 2.4 Crores and battle with the Kings up to 5.5 Crores before the Kings sealed the deal.
DC then exercised their RTM option, and Punjab Kings raised the bid to 9 Crores, forcing DC to match the bid to bag the Australian powerhouse.
David Warner: UNSOLD!!!
David Warner went unsold as none of the franchises came in for the former Australian opening batter.
Rahul Tripathi sold to Chennai Super Kings at 3.4 Crores
Rahul Tripathi benefitted from keeping a low base price as Chennai Super Kings yet again came into the fray, and Kolkata Knight Riders battled them hard for the former SRH batter up till 3.4 Crores before Venky Mysore pulled the plug, allowing CSK to bag another batter.
Devon Conway sold to Chennai Super Kings at 6.25 Crores
Former team Chennai Super Kings came back in for Conway straightaway and were usurped by Punjab Kings as the two teams battled for the Kiwi opening batter up till the 4 Crore mark.
Surprisingly, no other team entered the fray with Fleming and Ponting involved in a trans-Tasmanian rivalry, with CSK bagging the player finally at 6.25 Crores.

PBKS came back in at 6 Crores after a long think, but Brook's former team DC entered the fray next, bagging their player with the first bid at 6.25 Crores.
