Gujarat Titans have a considerably new look squad for IPL 2025. They have retained two of their biggest stars though, Rashid Khan and captain Shubman Gill.
GT squad 2025: Who's out?
GT retained five cricketers ahead of the 2025 auction. Apart from Rashid (INR 18 crore) and Gill (INR 16.5 crore), the other three were Sai Sudharsan (INR 8.5 crore), and the uncapped duo of Rahul Tewatia and Shahrukh Khan (INR 4 crore each).
David Miller, Mohammed Shami, Mohit Sharma, and the retired Wriddhiman Saha, key components of the GT squad in the previous cycle, will no longer be part of their unit. But from the auction, they got back some of their old Indiain brigade – Sai Kishore, Manav Suthar, Gurnoor Brar, and Jayant Yadav.

GT squad 2025: Who's in?
At the auction, GT acquired Jos Buttler, who will undoubtedly open with Gill and, if needed, don the big gloves (if neither Kumar Kushagra nor Anuj Rawat makes it to the XI). There is no Shami, but GT have more than made up for that with Mohammed Sirajand Prasidh Krishna, with Ishant Sharma as back-up, to go with Kagiso Rabada. The pace attack, while terrific, could have done with a death-over specialists.
For the other overseas slots (Rashid will take up one), GT have Gerald Coetzee, Glenn Phillips, Sherfane Rutherford, and Karim Janat to choose from.
Despite his run-ins with injuries, Washington Sundar is an excellent addition to the squad that will undoubtedly miss Omarzai’s all-round qualities.
