Chennai Super Kings will start their IPL 2025 campaign on Sunday, March 23, with a home fixture against Mumbai Indians - Here’s CSK's full schedule, including venues and match timings for the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League.
The five-time champions will be looking to add to their trophy tally, having finished fifth last year. Ruturaj Gaikwad, who succeeded MS Dhoni as the franchise’s captain before the start of the previous season, will continue with the leadership responsibility.
CSK have retained Gaikwad alongside Ravindra Jadeja, Shivam Dube, Matheesha Pathirana and Dhoni, whom they kept as an uncapped player following the new set of rules for retentions and right to match (RTM) options.
In the mega auction, they bought back Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra, while making new purchases in Afghanistan’s left-arm wrist-spinner Noor Ahmad and R Ashwin, who called time on his international career recently. It was at CSK where Ashwin shot to fame during his previous stint with the team between 2009 and 2015.
